Repair of Air Heater № 1bis of Blast Furnace № 1 of “ChMK”, PJSC

In September 2024, “Refracon Installations”, LLC, specialists restored and repaired the combustion chamber of air heater No. 1bis of Furnace № 1 of “ChMK”, PJSC.

As part of the project, our company carried out a complex of such works as local dismantling of brickwork and monolithic refractory lining, cleaning and surface preparation of refractory brickwork, installation of anchors, mechanized shotcreting of damaged or missing sections of brickwork, and putting a protective layer. The total volume of applied shotcrete amounted to 40 tons.

Implementation of this project offers a number of advantages:

– restoration of the refractory lining integrity

– short installation lead time

– no seams or reduced gas permeability

– high resistance to heat transfer, as well as moisture and dust

– resistance to abrasive wear.
