Gunning installation of refractory lining of beams and columns of BF-4 PJSC «NLMK»

Between November and mid-December 2020 Refracon completed the gunning installation of refractory lining of beams and columns of BF-4 at Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant.
As part of the contract, Refracon also carried out the preliminary dry cleaning of the surfaces of beams and columns. The reinforcement mesh was installed by the LLC «UDR-Е», a long-time Refracon partner at PJSC «NLMK».
In total over 170 tons of vibrating castables were successfully installed. The project was carried out in difficult weather conditions due to frosty winter temperatures. Despite these circumstances, owing to the highly qualified personnel and the availability of backup equipment, Refracon managed to comply with the work schedule.
