Refractory Shaft Lining of Blast Furnace No. 2 of “Tulachermet”, PJSC

From Sept 11, 2025 to Sept 28, 2025, our company made a restoration repair of refractory lining of the furnace and shaft of the blast furnace No. 2 for “Tulachermet”, PJSC.

To implement the project of restoring the refractory lining of the blast furnace shaft, modern technology of applying refractory materials using shotcreting is used. Installation technology to reconstruct the lining of the forge and the blast furnace shaft included:

– sealing of gaps between newly installed refrigerating plates using shotcreting, from +5750 mm to +28238 mm mark.

– application of concrete by shotcreting from + 5246 mm to +37536 mm mark (hearth bottom, forge, tuyere level zone, bosh, 1-8 rows of shaft, uncooled zone, protective zones segments, dome).

– injection of self-expanding concrete between the casing and cooling plates from mark

+5750 mm to +28238 mm mark (3 cold plates of the salamander-drain hole, 4 taphole fridges, 4 cooling plates of the tuyere zone, bosh, belly and shaft).

As part of this project, 1290.6 tons of high-quality material produced by Seven Refractories company were loaded.
