Repair of the lining of transport chutes BF-3, BF-4 of «NLMK»

In 2013 Refracon Installations carried out on the shotcreting of the main troughs of blast furnaces No. 3 and No. 4 of NLMK in Lipetsk.

The use of this technology has shown an incomparable advantage over traditional lining methods. Shotcrete technology allows the installation of 8 to 12 tons of concrete per hour. Thus, the installation time of the working layer of the main trough in the amount of 60-70 tons takes no more than 12 hours. The advantages of this technology also lie in the ease of installation: there is no need for complex formwork on turning and transitional sections. Highly qualified personnel applies a complex configuration of the profile of the gutter directly with a nozzle. Engineering and technical specialists constantly monitor and, if necessary, adjust the actions of the nozzle operator to comply with the complex profile of the concrete lining.
Subsequently, these works began to be serially carried out at the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant and are still carried out to the present.
